Hi — My apologies for the delay in updating this item. We rolled out a fix a year ago for a specific issue of status changing to away in Teams when you were still active on the device. We thought this had fixed the “incorrect status” issue. From comments below, it sounds like people are still seeing issues.
If you are still having issues, it would be super helpful if you can capture logs by typing Ctrl + Shift + Alt + 1, and send the file from your downloads folder along with device info and detailed repro steps to email@example.com.
This request is still queued within our backlog. No new details yet.
We have been iterating on different designs and are starting to test internally. I don’t have a timeframe but will keep you posted.
Thanks for the continued activity on this ticket and showing me this new idea. Can someone please create a new UV idea and rally the troops to vote for it? I love the idea of @here — a good idea for the Presence team.
Note: You CAN @ tag a channel to get the channel’s attention and make it bold so people will look at the channel.
Thank you everyone and have a great Wednesday!
This item is still on the backlog. I’ve received no further updates yet about this topic. I will continue to bring your feedback to the feature team.
This continues to be on our backlog due to prioritization of other work items. We will update when there is more to share.

Maybe an easier way to accomplish this would be to have the option of copying a channel's content into a different channel. That way the architecture of the current channel doesn't have to be shifted, just the content. This could then be governed by existing permissions and DLP policies. It could be presented in the UI as a "move channel" and prompt for a couple variables such as:
Target Channel Options: Copy into existing channel, or even create a new channel.
How to set new permissions: maintain existing, reset based on target channel settings, no permissions (set later)
What to do with the source channel: can be hidden, archived, or deleted per many of the other top voted requests.
In essence, a wizard that mimics or even re-uses the existing new channel dialogue. Taken to the next logical stage, it becomes a part of the default new channel dialogue, so when creating a channel you're even asked if you want to start a new channel from scratch, copy and existing channel, or "migrate" an existing channel.
This feature request is working its way through the backlog queue. No new details are available yet.
Adding email as a left tab panel remains under review. We are working on adding several Teams and email integrations:
- Share to Teams: Share a copy of an email and any attachments into a chat or channel directly from Outlook
- Share to Outlook: Share a copy of a channel or chat conversation via email directly from Teams
- Actionable Teams Activity Emails: Teams missed activity emails display the latest replies and allow you to reply directly from Outlook

We’re updating our command library all the time, so keep checking the menu in the command box to see what’s new by typing / or @.
Great performance and user experience remain a topmost priority for us. Application launch time has seen improvements in the recent build. We will continue making improvements across the product including channel to chat switching and overall resource consumption.
The ability to use multiple Teams accounts at the same time is supported on iOS & Android today. The feature team is continuing to work on support for multiple accounts on desktop and web clients. We’ll keep you posted as we have more details.
This item remains on the backlog.
We are working on a design with more density in mind. Until this design is solidified we are putting this item back to Under Review.
The team continues to make progress on this. We will share more details as we have them.
