if you have an existing post that you want to show in a different channel, you can edit the message and cross-post. This will add the top-level post to the different channel, but will not include the full set of replies. We will keep this request in mind as we evolve the cross-posting feature in the future and update if the status changes.

Details on cross posting can be found here: https://support.office.com/article/cross-post-a-channel-conversation-in-teams-9c1252a3-67ef-498e-a7c1-dd7147b3d295.

Those cross posting instructions don't work when you edit existing posts; only on new posts. When he said "you can edit the message and cross-post," that is false.

Hi everyone, the engineer working on this item has left the company and we’re working on replacing him. I wanted to give you that heads up because the work has paused, which extends our shipping date.

I really appreciate your patience as we work to get this back to actively worked on.

@Andreas I second that about not closing comments--that's where I wanted to post my question in the first place.

we have this!  ·  Warren responded

There seems to be some confusion around how this works. First off the ability to delete messages is off by default.

The IT Admin who setup the Teams environment will need to turn on the admin ability to delete messages. Once they have enabled the functionality, admins will be able to delete user messages.

If your IT Admin as enabled it and you still are having troubles please let me know in the comments below.

@Warren I've turned on this ability (to the best of my knowledge according to your brief description) and I mentioned here that it's still not working in the hopes that I might get further help on this. For one, can you detail the exact setting and location to make sure I have turned on the correct setting?

I have "Owners can delete sent messages" turned on and, as an owner, I still cannot delete others' messages.

The worst-case scenario of this is when a conversation gets "spammed" via outside email, then no one in the org owns that comment, so NO ONE can delete it (this actually happened to us). Totally unacceptable!

We are working on the release of the Tasks application in Microsoft Teams that will aggregate data from Microsoft To-Do, Planner and Outlook with more capabilities on the way. You can see Planner data in Kanban views today, and the Tasks app will continue to support that view. In January we announced task publishing which will release with the new app. Get an overview at https://youtu.be/rTATVGroEsQ.

Adding email as a left tab panel remains under review. We are working on adding several Teams and email integrations:

    - Share to Teams: Share a copy of an email and any attachments into a chat or channel directly from Outlook

    - Share to Outlook: Share a copy of a channel or chat conversation via email directly from Teams

    - Actionable Teams Activity Emails: Teams missed activity emails display the latest replies and allow you to reply directly from Outlook
