Planner is being worked upon, the topic is found at:
OneNote has been added and can be found in the store link within Teams.
Other items are still being added and third party bots and apps are being created as well.
The feature team is still reviewing, there is lots of discussion about this item and I hope to have a decision soon.
Any update? It's been 5 months since this entered review and it has many votes.
If further time is required to consider the implications, I believe it should be relatively easy and quick to provide an app to access Outlook online.

Thank you all for the feedback.
I believe this means channel membership could be a sub-set of the team members assigned by the channel creator.
If that is the case, this would be very useful in managing communications and sharing, and avoiding unnecessary alerts and messages for members of large teams.
This is currently in internal testing rings at Microsoft, and the feature team is targeting a release to the public in early Q2.

Maybe the Teams Planner development team didn't receive a notification this task was assigned to them.
Receiving notification that you have an assigned task is fairly fundamental, when will this change from "WORKING ON IT" to "COMPLETED"?
