Thank you for all of the feedback around this feature! We are reviewing what the best path forward is for this.

Just so everyone knows in the meantime, teachers can absolutely review any student attached or distributed work in Assignments even if students have not clicked the ‘Turn in’ button. Some of the comments also mention that the work might not be done digitally and submitted a different way, students can also Turn in the assignment without attaching any files/resources or can use the Teams mobile app to take a photo of their paper-based work to submit digitally.

Finally, when you return the assignment as a teacher (even without the student turning in) the feedback loop is also closed. Hope this helps.

Thank you for the feedback and waiting for this feature with patience. We have enabled download of a meeting attendance list during a meeting. This is released for general availability. Please note this feature is turned off by default, and needs to be enabled via admin policy.

See documentation for this feature here: https://support.office.com/article/download-attendance-reports-in-teams-ae7cf170-530c-47d3-84c1-3aedac74d310

Note: We are continuing to work on enabling download after a meeting has concluded, as well.

    Thanks.

Hello everyone, a quick update on our work to integrate Teams Assignments with the Microsoft Calendar - its coming! We’ll provide an update shortly with dates. We know this has been a top request for some time and there is a team working on bringing this to Teams for EDU as soon as we can.

In addition to being available on Windows, Mac, and iOS, we have just released gallery view on Android 2×4 (mobile) and 3×3 (tablet). Large Gallery and Together Mode will be coming soon on Android.

You will see these options with the latest version from the app store.

You can read more about Large gallery view, Together mode, as well as other new meetings experiences here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-teams-blog/new-meeting-and-calling-experience-in-microsoft-teams/ba-p/1537581.

In May we introduced a new user setting, Only me, that meeting organizers could select when configuring the “Who can bypass lobby?” setting for a Teams meeting. We are now making it possible for you to set Teams meeting defaults in your organization so that only meeting organizers can bypass the lobby.

Your IT admin will now be able to set “Automatically admit people” to Organizer only

    Please note

When set, only the organizer can join directly; all attendees will need to enter via lobby
Once this is your tenant default, it applies to all new meetings created by the user. It does not affect meetings set up prior to this change where Meeting options were updated.
To change the lobby setting for previously created meetings, Meeting organizers can select Meeting options in the meeting invitation for each meeting they schedule.
For additional guidance, see Student safety meeting policies: …

You can add feedback to assignments at any time. Students can unsubmit, work on the assignment some more, and turn in their work again as long as the Assignment’s ‘Close date’ has not passed.

Thanks everyone for your feedback on this. As more educators look for ways to create secure assessments (especially remotely) this is one of the options we are investigating.
