Having this either require E5 licensing and implementing information barriers, which is major overkill, or go through the incredibly arcane and complicated process of setting up global address list segmentation using address book policies to simply hide a user in Teams is absolutely ridiculous. Especially when Microsoft recognized the need for this in Exchange decades ago and gave us the hide from global address list switch. Implement a hide user from teams search switch already. And put one in for one drive as well.
