    Workaround: I opened Teams in my browser (Edge), then I used the Dev Tools to 'click' all of the 'See more' elements at once. Execute the line below in the console of the Dev Tools.

    $("span[translate-once|='messages_seeMoreText']").click();

    Poof, you just clicked every 'See more'.

    If there were nested "See more' elements, you will have to hit the up arrow on your keyboard to get that line of code to return, and hit enter again to execute it again. Repeat as necessary to get every nested 'See more'.

    Then you have the "replies from". I clicked all of those with this line of code in the console:

    $("div:contains(' replies from ')").click();

    I used my browser's Find on Page to check for the existence of any more 'See more' elements, but you have to use the menu, because Teams hijacks the keyboard shortcut.

    It won't persist, but it just saved me about a hundred clicks and the human error of missing some nested 'See more' elements. Ugh, Microsoft. Have shame. Fix this wretched UX issue.

    The ability to turn off emojis is still being worked upon.

    Also, there is work to create a compact mode which will also help reduce white space… which in turn will impact some of the complaints are far as wasted space from the emojis as well, that have been voiced in the comments.

    Stay tuned for more details.

    Hey, great news, everyone: this is finally fixed! To get it,you do have to uninstall and reinstall Teams--with one very important special step. To reinstall Teams, you have to download the app from Gitter.im, and you will finally have control of the emoji in your life. ;]

    Have shame, Microsoft. Teams is for ten-year-old girls. :[
