I agree. My often used contacts across the business are grouped by departments. In Skype for Business I used to be able to put the departments in any order (generally with mine at the top). But now they're alphabetical, and with favourites at the top, even if empty.
Also when folding/hiding groups with the arrows (and the empty favourites), they take up an absurd amount of space due to having very thick group headers.
Currently a big step backwards from Skype for Business for useability and efficiency.
