I don't always have people's last name top-of-mind, so having to search for someone to message or to just try to read through chats with @ mentions is a tedious chore. Even if we can't just go to first names only, can't we somehow display FIRST LAST (instead of LAST, FIRST which is so awkward and rather unfriendly)?

It appears the request to be able to use first names or nicknames was first posted in 2016 and has been marked as "under review" since 2019. It doesn't feel too auspicious. I could be incorrect, but I believe this feature was implemented long ago for many Teams users, but perhaps government agencies and organizations with tighter restrictions are not allowing these customizations. Given this...even if we remain unable to use first (or other) names...is there a way to set up the name order to be FIRST LAST (rather than LAST, FIRST)? This would at least help our messages look less awkward -- and would be easier to add the "@" names. Thanks!
