Recommend we all click on Dirk's link and vote there, as well.

Commented on this lack of feature equivalence to their other product, Skype, in Teams on other UserVoice Threads. Various portions of this equivalence to Skype features request is now almost 3 years old in another thread. Not sure how many gazillions of votes are needed to catch MS attention, so just voting wherever it shows up.

Was migrated from Skype for Business to Teams recently, discovered my Contact list and groupings had also been migrated from Skype to Teams (this is a good thing). Found that, unlike Skype, am unable to collapse lists in settings. My groups contain lots of names that I categorized in Skype groups for easier management.

Found this thread, now nearly 3 years old, most requests for features like ability to collapse all, or at least retain last configuration user set. Now has 1,587 votes, do not see MS response to these comments. Found other threads with similar requests for expand/collapse features, seems most just languish in the Cloud?

The name implies MS has an interests in usability improvements. Perhaps that assumption is incorrect? Is the purpose of MS Teams UserVoice just to let us collectively complain to one another?

Thank you for your continued feedback. We are continuously improving the clients to use less memory and RAM.

The upgrade to Electron 10 has rolled out fully to the public at this point. Telemetry and testing has shown that this is helping to improve memory performance on the client.

We will continue to work on improvements, and will share more updates as they become available.

For more details on how Teams currently uses memory, please visit https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/teams-memory-usage-perf.

I see 10 MS Teams sub-processes under overall heading of MS Teams. Interesting observation - I tried killing the tasks one at a time (no context what within Teams the subprocess is responsible for). When I killed one of them (still had ~4 subprocesses active), Teams itself died and restarted. When it came back up, one of the subprocesses said "Teams encountered a glitch", was taking 170MB of RAM, but could not find anywhere within the Teams app that said that, just appeared to be a 170MB memory loss.

I went to look at the details, found 10 Teams.exe sessions occupying varying amounts of memory. Total memory usage by all the subprocesses ranged from 610MB to 710MB while I was writing this. Teams is up on my desktop, sitting idle.

With no indication what each of the subprocesses or executable sessions do, various responses from moderators "there's overhead associated, do not be alarmed" seems a bit insulting. If I am running multiple sessions of something, that is when I expect to see multiple executable sessions in task manager. Teams just appears to spool out several sessions. An explanation could help in the short term. Long term, a significant reduction in massive memory usage for an idling app is the better answer.

Attached screenshot of details tab and processes tab showing 10 sessions of Team...at idle
