Just found the fix for my problem on my own. I had changed my password for Windows 10 and O365 and for some reason, I guess Teams didn't get properly updated. While it would let me use the Teams client (because I was logged in to the company domain???), it wouldn't let me see any OneNote tabs in the Teams client. By going to the Teams client and clicking on my picture in the top banner and then choosing sign out and then signing back in, it fixed the issue.Tom Hoglund shared this idea ·

Hi - never had this issue before over two years of working with Teams. Was working fine on July 24, 2019 and now broken on July 26. I have built dozens of Teams using OneNote tabs for customers and they are all broken if you use them in the Teams client (which is what everyone does). Works in the Web client. Tested with creating a new tab and same problem. I'm not using Conditional Access to the channel it's in.
This item is still in the works. I’m waiting for additional details from the feature team and hope to be able to share something more detailed soon.
I can understand not allowing developers to delete the Conversations and Files tabs, but please give us the ability to reorder all tabs including Files and Conversations.
But at least let us move that tab to the right if we want to
Teams actually does use SharePoint for its file storage. Go to Files tab then click Open in SharePoint and you will see any files created. You can work directly in that SharePoint instance (automatically created when the Team is created) instead of using a completely different SP site and create any sort of folder structure you might want there. So less need to ever have a "SharePoint" tab. If you want to surface other SP features in Teams (e.g., a tabular view of a SP List), you can set up a tab with a URL link to that specific SP page.
#1 enhancement you should make.
We’ve heard your suggestions and are working on the ability to clone an existing team using a template. When released, if you were to click on Add Team, then Create a Team, you would get the UI pop up that prompts you to “Create your Team” but, if you look to the bottom of the UI you would see the option to choose “Create a team using an existing team as a template”! Once you select that option, you would be able choose which channels, team settings, apps, and members to inherit via a simple setup wizard.
Look for this feature to release by the end of the calendar year! And thank you all for the great feedback. -Warren
Admin's comments are exactly the way to implement this. When will we get this?
#2 requirement after a channels template. These could be as simple as when you create a new Team or Channel, you get the option to copy from an existing one.
Most important feature I need!
We are still considering this feature for future releases, and will continue to update the status when it changes.
This item is still queued up in the backlog. No additional details are available at this moment.
Templates are a must have for us (a 30,000 employee Microsoft consulting company) to be able to add value to our customers and generate revenue. We need to be able to create a template group with certain tabs, planner tasks, etc. Then copy that template group to a lot of new groups that get created over time.
Add this ASAP please!!!
