Thank you for your continued feedback, we have not forgotten about this ask. This feature request remains on our backlog. We will share an update as soon as one is available.
The team has not made a decision on whether to move forward with this feature. We will update when we have new status to share.
We’re updating our command library all the time, so keep checking the menu in the command box to see what’s new by typing / or @.
Adding email as a left tab panel remains under review. We are working on adding several Teams and email integrations:
- Share to Teams: Share a copy of an email and any attachments into a chat or channel directly from Outlook
- Share to Outlook: Share a copy of a channel or chat conversation via email directly from Teams
- Actionable Teams Activity Emails: Teams missed activity emails display the latest replies and allow you to reply directly from Outlook
See this post for more information:
This item remains on the backlog.
Thank you for your feedback. The team is currently planning for this work, we will share an update as soon as one is available.
Group Calendar is a priority for the team, and the feature team is continuing work on it. You’ll start to see some incremental improvements. We look forward to sharing more details and timeframes soon.
This continues to be on our backlog due to prioritization of other work items. We will update when there is more to share.

Being able to move channels to another team should preserve everything (files, tabs, history), but it should prompt the user doing it with a checklist of users that have any history in the channel. The prompt could say that any checked users would automatically be added to the new Team and given rights to view channels, files etc. and that unchecked users' history would be deleted permanently.
This way, the user would have the option not to give all previous users rights in a different team (while simultaneously allowing mass add user functionality) and Microsoft Teams doesn't have to guess what to keep and what not to. This feature could also require that the user moving the channel has the appropriate rights in both Teams.
This feature request is still being worked upon.
I am still trying to get details on what we could expect for Cortana in Teams and will share examples once something is available.
I’m excited to share that I got to use this in our experimental settings the other day. We’ve built it and are testing it internally. I’ll let you know once it moves up in the validation rings!
Thank you for your feedback and comments! The team is looking into how best to do this. We will post an update here as we have more to share.

if you have an existing post that you want to show in a different channel, you can edit the message and cross-post. This will add the top-level post to the different channel, but will not include the full set of replies. We will keep this request in mind as we evolve the cross-posting feature in the future and update if the status changes.
Details on cross posting can be found here: https://support.office.com/article/cross-post-a-channel-conversation-in-teams-9c1252a3-67ef-498e-a7c1-dd7147b3d295.
This item is still under review by the feature team. I have no details as to when a decision might happen.
Due to a priority shift this request has slipped to the backlog. I hate to bring bad news. I will continue to provide the feature team your feedback and votes.
Hopefully this will move back up in the queue soon.
