Thanks to everyone who volunteered for testing the Office 365 group calendar. The TAP team will be reaching out as we are closer to being ready.
The group/team dynamic for O365 is so convoluted and confusing. In searching for a team calendar work around I came across a suggestion to create a Sharepoint group with a group calendar, as the site said that this calendar is viewable on mobile (while the other teams workaround does NOT). Now I have 3 O365 entities for my staff, AND NONE OF THEM WORK CORRECTLY. This is a MAJOR issue, particularly because I work at a university and my staff are mostly student workers who do not have the patience to wade through all of the O365 issues, PLUS they do most of their calendar checking on their phones. I have resorted to posting PDFs of my own outlook desktop app calendar, but this calendar isn't dynamic and I don't have the time to repost a new calendar everytime there is a shift change!! Microsoft, you DESPERATELY need to fix this issue. The Teams app ALMOST streamlines this, adding a group calendar may finally make a usable tool.
It is mind boggling that we can't link OneDrive, but can link GoogleDrive. Sharepoint sort of works, but I don't have time to maintain multiple cloud repositories for information for my team. I want to edit a file on my computer's synced onedrive, and it is then reflected in a OneDrive folder for my team.
This feature has now moved into the planning stage! I’ll keep you posted as I hear more.
PLEASE add this. My entire work team runs on this group calendar, but it cannot be viewed using Outlook for iOS, it looks awful in Groups for iOS, and is non-existent in Teams.
This item is still in the planning stages. No new details to share at this time.
