I am experiencing this as well. This is not constant, it is sporadic and also affects alerts in channels as well. Sometimes I receive the notification from one user in a channel, but not from another user in the same channel.

I really like the suggestion of creating an alarm on a message, so you come back to it. I’ve passed this on to our engineering team.

Meanwhile, here’s another feature you can utilize for the same purpose — use our “bookmark” button, which is in the upper right corner of every message. This will save that message or thread directly to your profile. To access your saved messages, just click your face in the upper left corner of the product. You’ll see a tab in the left rail that says “Saved.” This is like a list of little reminders.

    Hope that helps! :-)

Saved/bookmarked is current too hidden and is not able to be organized in a custom order. The notifications also all go away once I click in. I want to be able to mark things as read or unread like in my email so I know I still have to work on things.

This feature request is now actively being worked upon. As we move through the development process, I will post an new updates to this topic.

Please keep the votes and feedback coming in. Your feedback is shared with the feature team every month.

This should be an option in settings ("download to X folder all the time" or "ask me") to save users time so he or she doesn't then have to go figure out where and by what name or even if the download was successful. Rather, the user can choose where the file goes in the download process. Also, add a notification so the user can then immediately open the file as opposed to having to go through the files to access the file.

I have many many channels that I don't need visible access to in the lists and want to be able to collapse, but still want to follow them so I have notifications from them.
