We want this!
Thanks to everyone who volunteered for testing the Office 365 group calendar. The TAP team will be reaching out as we are closer to being ready.
This item is still queued up in the backlog. No additional details are available at this moment.
If you favorite the channel, they will come out from behind 'more channels' and remain in persistent view.
^^ +1 on Andrew Robertson's comment
This feature request is still working its way through the backlog queue.
You control your notification destiny. If you want more email in your inbox, then Follow the Channel and adjust the settings in Teams' Notifications section (navigate to Avatar (lower left) --> Notifications
Change your notification for Followed Channels to "Banner and email"
Hi everyone, thanks so much for this request.
We have thought this through and decided to prioritize other user-requested items, so this one has been declined. But please don’t stop telling us what you want, because we’re still working to get many of those done. We’re listening and appreciate your support and patience.
We know you are patiently waiting for this feature. This feature is being implemented in stages. Fast tenant switching is currently in testing both internally and with early customers. We expect to release to the public in the Fall. I’ll post an update once it’s rolling out.
Full multi-tenant, multi-user support will be added after fast tenant switching.
Thank you so much for your support of the product. This request was particularly helpful and we appreciate your engagement in the surveys, comments and forum to help us design this feature. Please continue to submit ideas!
For this item, we’re making great progress. It has now entered TAP validation with a small group of tenants. Will let you know how that goes!
Still hearing reports of this. Definitely a theme with Mac users. Service exited with abnormal code: 1
Hearing many reports of this issue in our enterprise.
This item is still being reviewed by the feature team. No additional news to share at this time.
@Admin says this is in the product, but it is not.
Scenario: A colleague drops a file named "Important-File" in my chat.
Later, after I forget where I saw that file, I search for "Important" - there are no results.
So... Teams does NOT have this... search capability in chats does not include files.
To be more specific:
By 'Search capability in chats':
I would like to see the Search results include names of files that have been shared with me in Chat.
Hate to be the bearer of bad news. This item has been declined. There will be no work to hide or remove the reply button.
As many people have commented, a big ask is to help improve how people distinguish between giving a reply and starting a new message.
For that the focus will be on this item. “Better visual delineation between `Reply` and `Start a new conversation`”
+1 Jennifer B - too many people intuitively start typing away in the bottom text field, thinking they are replying, only to create a new thread.
Everyone I talk to about this never realized that they could click on the little word "reply" to continue with the thread.
I would suggest removing the step <click-reply-to-open-a-text-field>, and just leave a blank text field under each thread (with the word 'reply' in the text field, as it is today (after you click 'Reply')).
