The engineering team is continuing to work on adding support for multiple accounts on desktop clients. We will first launch support for 1 work/school account and 1 personal account so users can enjoy Teams for work and personal side-by-side. Windows and MacOS. Support for multiple work accounts is still being worked on and will come at a later date.

You can track status via the roadmap here: https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/roadmap?searchterms=68845.

    Thanks!

try this instead  ·  Warren responded

Updating the status to “Try this instead” and have added the clarification that after 30 days the name is once again available.

The reason for this decision was that Channels can be restored 30 days after being deleted. During this time, we intentionally don’t support creating a channel with the same name. After the 30 days, the name is available.

You can workaround this by restoring a deleted channel, renaming it, and then deleting the channel again. The previous name is then available for use.

This workaround has already been mentioned in the comments and if an immediate reuse of a Channel Name is required, this is the recommended solution.

Agreed, for each channel, in the files tab, there should be an Upload folder where anything attached/uploaded during a chat conversation thread goes into that folder. Right now, all these uploads go to the root of the channel's file folder, where we have other folders for our data organization, and these root files are confusing and clutter. They should be put aside into their own folder specific to each channel.

we have this!  ·  Warren responded

There seems to be some confusion around how this works. First off the ability to delete messages is off by default.

The IT Admin who setup the Teams environment will need to turn on the admin ability to delete messages. Once they have enabled the functionality, admins will be able to delete user messages.

If your IT Admin as enabled it and you still are having troubles please let me know in the comments below.
