if you have an existing post that you want to show in a different channel, you can edit the message and cross-post. This will add the top-level post to the different channel, but will not include the full set of replies. We will keep this request in mind as we evolve the cross-posting feature in the future and update if the status changes.

Details on cross posting can be found here: https://support.office.com/article/cross-post-a-channel-conversation-in-teams-9c1252a3-67ef-498e-a7c1-dd7147b3d295.

Great performance and user experience remain a topmost priority for us. Application launch time has seen improvements in the recent build. We will continue making improvements across the product including channel to chat switching and overall resource consumption.

we have this!  ·  Suphatra responded

Just hover over a person’s avator and click the org chart icon in the screen that appears. Or you can click the “Organization” tab in your 1:1 chat with them. If you want to move around your company’s org chart, just click the different people who appear in the chart.

Additionally, it would be great if you could easily expand the entire org chart and see the whole company at a glance.

I found the answer to my own question below "what is the organization tab basing it's knowledge off of?": In order to have the Org Chart populated, the "Manager" and "Direct Reports" fields must be added to each user (by an IT Admin) in the Office 365 Exchange Admin Center.

However, my second request would be to allow users to fill in the Org Chart in Teams directly and just have it request approval by an IT admin. That would save an Admin a lot of time to get this setup if it isn't already.

The placement for the Org Chart is a bit odd to me. Seems like it should be in a more central location, not buried deep in your chats. I also don't understand what it is basing it's knowledge off of. Currently, all my chats say 'Organization view does not exist for this user.'
Is there a way to create an org chart for my company?

Adding email as a left tab panel remains under review. We are working on adding several Teams and email integrations:

    - Share to Teams: Share a copy of an email and any attachments into a chat or channel directly from Outlook

    - Share to Outlook: Share a copy of a channel or chat conversation via email directly from Teams

    - Actionable Teams Activity Emails: Teams missed activity emails display the latest replies and allow you to reply directly from Outlook

See this post for more information:

    Thanks!

Our greatest challenge with cross company adoption (moving users off of Outlook & Skype to Outlook & Teams) is the complaint that Teams and Outlook are not integrated and therefore users cannot search their entire history of emails and conversations all in one place as they could with Outlook & Skype. Additionally, it'd be rad if the Outlook Web App had a sidebar for Teams Chat (as it does for Skype for Business).
    Thanks for your consideration!

Yessss, we still want this! The more we can centralize our work within teams the more valuable the app becomes.
