Thank you for your suggestion! We really appreciate the feedback and idea. We have reviewed this request and started working on it. I’ll let you know as it nears completion.
This feature is on the backlog. I will update you when we have more details to share.
This is definitely a roadblock in adoption. Topical info is often blackholed, tags would help.
if you have an existing post that you want to show in a different channel, you can edit the message and cross-post. This will add the top-level post to the different channel, but will not include the full set of replies. We will keep this request in mind as we evolve the cross-posting feature in the future and update if the status changes.
Details on cross posting can be found here: https://support.office.com/article/cross-post-a-channel-conversation-in-teams-9c1252a3-67ef-498e-a7c1-dd7147b3d295.
Perhaps a simple ability to drag things that have already been typed in a new conversation thread and drop them on the conversation they belong in. I'm regularly starting a new conversation with the intent of replying. I'd really love for it to be brain dead easy for me to "attach" or merge it to the thread above. Even better would be to allow me to suggest and flag that merge when someone else does it so they can click a checkmark or approval.
This continues to be on our backlog due to prioritization of other work items. We will update when there is more to share.
This item remains on the backlog.
Thanks for the feedback.
We are considering a number of ways to better integrate experiences across Teams, Outlook, and other apps. However, we don’t have any specifics to share on this request.
This is a big stumbling block trying to get a non technical team on board for using teams.... things like this hare huge blockers to adoption and make buy-in really difficult.
The team continues to make progress on this. We will share more details as we have them.
I’m happy to share that the team has started exploring designs for this feature.
This is working today in the web client on Edge & Chrome. The team is actively investigating feasibility in the desktop client.
