We are happy to announce that the New Conversation Button has started to roll to the general public, and should be rolled out 100% over the next week or so. We will share another update as soon as one is available.

I started this thread back in May 2017 when I was trying out Teams for the first time. I found that everyone fell into the trap of using the Reply vs Start New Conversation fields incorrectly (even me when I wasn't concentrating). I ended up ditching Teams altogether because of this issue as I just couldn't persuade non-computery friends to use it properly.
I thought I'd try Teams again this month for a new project and was amazed to find that the issue is still there in the Windows app. I've started a team with just my assistant across the other side of the world, and we're both consistently starting new conversations when we mean to reply. I simply can't introduce new team members if it's this difficult to use correctly.
The number of votes indicate this is a significant to other people too. I understand that Microsoft is trying to find the `right` solution here, but the time it's taking to fix this is silly. Has analysis paralysis taken hold?Stephen Ellis shared this idea ·
This feature is partially implemented at this point. We are still working on the last part of being able to play the messages thru the earpiece of the phone. Enjoy!Stephen Ellis supported this idea ·
