    thank you!  ·  Warren responded

    Thanks for the feedback.

We are considering a number of ways to better integrate experiences across Teams, Outlook, and other apps. However, we don’t have any specifics to share on this request.

The feature team is still reviewing, there is lots of discussion about this item and I hope to have a decision soon.

Yes still interested. I don't understand why group chat at least is not an option to view in teams...

Lets say I make a team (which automatically creates a group or I link a group to). Then someone emails the group. Why would I want to see that in outlook. It seems like I would always want to see those things in teams, preferably on the general channel or possibly on a "group email" channel.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news. This item has been declined. There will be no work to hide or remove the reply button.

As many people have commented, a big ask is to help improve how people distinguish between giving a reply and starting a new message.
For that the focus will be on this item. “Better visual delineation between `Reply` and `Start a new conversation`”

    planned  ·  Warren responded

This feature request has moved to the planning stage. There have also been several small updates that have gone out already, as well.

I’ll keep you posted as I hear more about coming updates.

I agree there should be search right from teams but please note that you could always open the full OneNote notebook and search.

The feature team has declined this request due to the fact that a similar experience already exists.

You can achieve very similar functionality with the existing integration. The OneNote integration has been redesigned so that you can add an entire notebook as a channel tab, but always show a particular section (be it new or existing). Within each tab, you can also create other sections as well as pages within any section to better organize your notes.

Thank you for your feedback and suggestions.

I voted but in thinking about it you can add multiple one notes to a single channel. If you open the full one note for the team it will show "channel name" - "name of section". I still think being able to break it down from a group could add a lot of functionality however.

We acknowledge the customer demand for Private Channels and have been hard at work on it. Private Channels is currently in preview with a select group of customers. We expect to release the feature to the public later this Fall, and will update here when we are starting to roll out to all customers. We appreciate all the feedback you have provided to us on this forum and thank you for your patience.
