We acknowledge the customer demand for Private Channels and have been hard at work on it. Private Channels is currently in preview with a select group of customers. We expect to release the feature to the public later this Fall, and will update here when we are starting to roll out to all customers. We appreciate all the feedback you have provided to us on this forum and thank you for your patience.
We’re currently working on defining a compact mode experience. I will post more details when we have more to share.
Still waiting x 23... And as I type this, SLACK IS CURRENTLY DOWN. Our company has resorted back to emails instead of using Teams which is included with Office 365. You hear that Microsoft? Hello? Bueller? Anyone there? They would rather use E-mail technology which is 25+ years old than use this ****** product because you guys cant get your heads out of your you know what and release AN UPDATE. WHAT IS TAKING SO LONG? NASA ALMOST FINISHED THE GEMINI MISSIONS TO PREP FOR THE MOON LANDING IN 4 YEARS!! THIS HAS BEEN ONGOING FOR 3!!!

Still WAITING.... x20
STOP TALKING ABOUT DOING IT AND DO IT ALREADY
2 Years and counting now for this request, climbing to 1,000 comments and all we get from you is blah blah blah "we will not be making a sharp design turn"
Seriously? You're worse than Trump with this #fakenews
Still waiting x 19... "This feature is still in the works..."
Yeah and we're STILL using Slack. Maybe the Microsoft Teams development team should stop using Teams for their internal communications and use Slack to speed this up because you can't read the **** messages between each other.
Still waiting x 18...
I updated and refreshed the desktop app. I see very little difference.
Still waiting x 17...
Seriously? All this time just for you guys to ask us about Density vs Compact? What the **** was the point of the questionnaire you put out in June??

Last update was over a month ago. Whats the status of this?
So I received the survey email on 6/7 for the "Working on it -> Needs your feedback" and filled it out the same day. Its now 7/25, whats the update on this? My organization uses Slack daily and I've been trying to get us switched to Teams but this layout UI problem is holding us back from switching. What's the status here?
YES! This is my main complaint regarding Teams. We have been using Slack for the past year or so and whenever you go fullscreen the chat text widens with the window with. Teams does not do this, instead the chat stays centered with all that wasted space on the left & right of the chat text.
The feature team is still considering this item. No confirmation yet.
This request is still on the backlog.
This is still being worked upon. I hope to have more details in the next couple months.
Please know the team is actively working on this feature.
Performance has been and continues to be a big focus area for Teams. One main area we have made improvements in is responsiveness for the most frequent user actions of switching between Chat, Channel, and Activity. We are also focused on reducing resource consumption and application load time. More improvements are on the way.
We’re updating our command library all the time, so keep checking the menu in the command box to see what’s new by typing / or @.
Hate to be the bearer of bad news. This item has been declined. There will be no work to hide or remove the reply button.
As many people have commented, a big ask is to help improve how people distinguish between giving a reply and starting a new message.
For that the focus will be on this item. “Better visual delineation between `Reply` and `Start a new conversation`”
This feature item is still in the works. We will keep you posted as we have new info from the feature team.
