The ability to remove a user from group chats (including meeting chats) is now available on desktop, and coming soon to mobile.

How it works: A user can go to any group chat of 3 or more people and navigate to the roster and by hovering over any user you will see the “X”. Clicking on this will show a confirmation dialog. Then the user must select remove to remove the user.

What does everyone see: Everyone in the chat will see the control message that says “User A removed User B from the chat”.

What does the removed user see: The removed user will still have access to the chat history but will no longer see new messages after the point of removal and will not be able to compose messages or make any changes to the chat.

Note: This setting is controlled by your tenant admin, so may or may not…

We acknowledge the customer demand for Private Channels and have been hard at work on it. Private Channels is currently in preview with a select group of customers. We expect to release the feature to the public later this Fall, and will update here when we are starting to roll out to all customers. We appreciate all the feedback you have provided to us on this forum and thank you for your patience.

This feature is still being reviewed by the feature team. No decision has been made yet. I’ll keep you posted.

I see a lot of comments saying Chats and Teams have different purposes. Some of us just want to have the possibility to see all of that without switching tabs. If it is optional, that's OK with me.

Currently I use individual chats and groups and not the Teams tab, just because switching is impractical.

The notification box interfere with my work whenever I receive constant notifications. I cannot close notifications and they stay there for several seconds.
When that happens, I cannot close windows or use top-right buttons of other applications.
Please put and 'X' button !!!

The current sound for iPhone is too aggressive and a bit outdated. I would like to choose a softer sound.

beautiful idea! Use the modern force-touch feature for dragging the cursor or actually painting on the whiteboard.

    declined  ·  Warren responded

Hate to be the bearer of bad news. This item has been declined. There will be no work to hide or remove the reply button.

As many people have commented, a big ask is to help improve how people distinguish between giving a reply and starting a new message.
For that the focus will be on this item. “Better visual delineation between `Reply` and `Start a new conversation`”

This is the first thing you note whenever you use Teams for the first time. It just looks insensible such a waste of vertical space. What about if you forget it at all? let the conversation flow down. People won't go back and forth replying one 'conversation' or the other.
