Good afternoon! We really need this suggestion looked at and answered by the Microsoft Teams product team. User accounts that are not licensed for Teams, should not show up when Teams users search for them. Period.

If a user does not have a mailbox in Exchange, they don't show up in the Global Address List. Same should apply for Teams. Additionally adding the ability to hide a user from the Teams Address List would also be a great help.

Looking forward to a response from the product team on this request as I have already spent a good deal of time on the phone with Teams Support

I agree with JR! When joining the meeting, attendees need to be shown ALL of the meeting join options, including the phone numbers to call in. Competitive apps all show the dial-in numbers up-front whether they support their equivalent "Call-Me" or not.

We currently have the Dial-Out feature disabled for our end users. And our external participants are having problems because they don't get call-in information when they go to join the meeting...we have to direct them to go back to the invitation email and dial it from there.

We'll have to enable them temporarily as a workaround and then monitor the minutes usage --- thankfully, Microsoft is still giving us bonus minutes per licensed user, but we need the join experience tweaked just a bit more.

    Thanks!

We had a similar problem only the other way around. We added Microsoft 365 Audio Conferencing to one of our VP's account and he was greatly disturbed that he started getting a flood of responses to meetings that were already booked. Apparently, Teams was automatically updating all his scheduled meetings with Audio Conferencing information.

Our training documentation states that the end-users will have to cancel and re-create any recurring meetings to get the Audio Conferencing information added. When did this change? I must have missed the communication to Admins?

We definitely appreciate some automation now, We need better communication to end-users about this. Teams needs to prompt the end-user that Audio Conferencing information has been added and ask the user permission to send updates to the attendees. It should not send updates out silently like that.

We are about to run an annual company-wide meeting and we are evaluating the Teams Live Event for this. Some features are coming up short and this is a major one. Our Moderators need to see a list of everyone currently connected and everyone who previously connected and disconnected in real time. This should especially be doable when the Live Event is configured for "Org-Wide" where all the attendees have to sign in with their company accounts.

I can't believe this idea doesn't have more votes! We've been needing this feature for a long time. We want to be able to enable individual Teams for guest access, but not the entire organization. How do we do this?

We are currently rolling out the increase for the Teams meeting limit. The new permanent meeting limit is 300 participants (in the meeting call and the chat). We expect this to be enabled by the end of June for the public cloud, with government clouds to follow.

For additional info on Meetings limits in Teams, visit: https://docs.microsoft.com/microsoftteams/limits-specifications-teams#meetings-and-calls

I agree, I shut down my Skype for Business to try to use Teams as its replacement and losing all the features of the Skype for Business plug-in in Outlook is a show-stopper. Teams cannot possibly replace Skype for Business in our environment, we'd have a revolt on our hands!

needs your feedback  ·  Suphatra responded

Hey everyone — Suphatra’s back! And I’m on the case with this item.

I talked to engineering and I think they don’t understand this request. The requests says “Admin App” — do you mean Admin Center? The O365 portal?

Also, what exactly do you envision for central administration — for example — what can you do now, can’t do, and would like to do with this new feature.

Your feedback will help me get the team to put more resources into this. Thank you!

    Suphatra

on the backlog  ·  Warren responded

Due to a priority shift this request has slipped to the backlog. I hate to bring bad news. I will continue to provide the feature team your feedback and votes.
Hopefully this will move back up in the queue soon.
