I'm not sure if this is a coincidence- but this workaround stopped working less than 48h after posting here! The files don't synchronize any longer and when I try to synchronize the library again I get the error message that the OneDrive for Business app is outdated and can't sync any longer. If this is indeed a "fix" from a programmer I'd be very disappointed in the MS Teams team.

I did find a way to sync the documents to Windows that works without the restrictions mentioned above:

    1. Open the desired file library in Teams, click "open in SharePoint"
    2. Copy the URL to the SharePoint library (don't click "synchronize")
    3. right click on OneDrive for Business - "Synchronize new library"
    4. enter URL to the library
    5. This should create a SharePoint link in Windows Explorer that works

This is a must-have functionality; many of my colleagues are only slowly getting used to using Teams and are rather fond of the folders on their desktop. Being able to sync files not only via the UI of Teams but also the "classic" way would help quite a bit in driving user adoption.

The team has delivered improvements to the New Meeting experience in Calendar such as optional attendees, richer custom recurrence UX, as well as enhanced meeting RSVPs.

Due to a priority shift this request has slipped to the backlog. I hate to bring bad news. I will continue to provide the feature team your feedback and votes.
Hopefully this will move back up in the queue soon.

Adding email as a left tab panel remains under review. We are working on adding several Teams and email integrations:

    - Share to Teams: Share a copy of an email and any attachments into a chat or channel directly from Outlook

    - Share to Outlook: Share a copy of a channel or chat conversation via email directly from Teams

    - Actionable Teams Activity Emails: Teams missed activity emails display the latest replies and allow you to reply directly from Outlook

See this post for more information:

This is the no. 1 complaint from my colleagues about Teams and one of the reasons why they're slow in switching over from e-mail. It would be great if I could drag and drop e-mails into channels from a mailbox on the left and reply directly within the channel I've dropped them into. That way my colleagues could see what's going on with the e-mail and everyone can be on the same page. Also, it would make it easier for people to understand why they need to use teams.

This item is still under review by the feature team. I have no details as to when a decision might happen.

    partially done  ·  Warren responded

The zoom feature has released to the public ring. Using CRTL + or CTRL – zoom in and out on a Windows PC.

I need to correct the information I provided last month about MAC. It appears the MAC version is still in testing and hasn’t yet gone out to the public. It is “In Testing” but will be coming to the public soon!

The item tracking this specific update can be found at: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/admin/v3/suggestions/16933183/activity

There now is a UI element that tells you your current zoom level and a Setting within the UI to preset your zoom preference.

Since the zoom feature could very well cover the vast majority of user needs, based on the majority of comments and feedback, I will flag this item as Partially Done.

Thank you for all the feedback and support!

try this instead  ·  Suphatra responded

I really like the suggestion of creating an alarm on a message, so you come back to it. I’ve passed this on to our engineering team.

Meanwhile, here’s another feature you can utilize for the same purpose — use our “bookmark” button, which is in the upper right corner of every message. This will save that message or thread directly to your profile. To access your saved messages, just click your face in the upper left corner of the product. You’ll see a tab in the left rail that says “Saved.” This is like a list of little reminders.

    Hope that helps! :-)
