I don't say this lightly and usually have great respect for what MS and its employees have accomplished, but I think some screwball at MS actually thinks this is a feature and is somehow useful. There is absolutely zero value in having presence status if it is showing me away when I am not away. Absolutely no other chat client I ever used operates this way. Even if this was the only chat client ever invented, logic says that you don't show me away when I am not away.

Same. Doesn't appear to work all the time.

Can we compromise and get this thing done already?! I can see both sides, but our adoption has come to a halt because too many messages are sitting unread when they are only indicated by BOLD somewhere buried inside a Team under a certain channel. Yes, they could use @mentions when sending things, but more often than not you want the members to eventually see these communications at some point, if not right away. So now you have to @mention everything. Otherwise, you are asking people to have to dig into every team and then into the channel to see the message. Wouldn't it make sense to have all messages go to the Activity feed? After all, it is called Activity Feed and the posts sent to my Teams are Activity. That way I don't have constant banner prompts, but I can go to one place, my Activity Feed, to review what has happened today. If you want to see only ones where I have been at mentioned, then filter that out Yes, I could have each and every user go into each and every channel to set this setting to Feed Only, but that is impractical and a self-management headache.

Yes, we found this has now killed adoption of Teams in just 6 months. Everyone has abandoned and gone back to just sending everything through email. Freakin' Microsoft.

I hate to say it, but this will actually prevent us from being able to use Teams. People are used to flexibility in renaming folders and files without breaking anything. I wish the MS Teams dev team was focused on usability issues such as this versus spending so much time on Emojis. We need to get work done!
