We are working on the release of the Tasks application in Microsoft Teams that will aggregate data from Microsoft To-Do, Planner and Outlook with more capabilities on the way. You can see Planner data in Kanban views today, and the Tasks app will continue to support that view. In January we announced task publishing which will release with the new app. Get an overview at https://youtu.be/rTATVGroEsQ.

Great performance and user experience remain a topmost priority for us. Application launch time has seen improvements in the recent build. We will continue making improvements across the product including channel to chat switching and overall resource consumption.

Sometimes is the little things. This is one of those times. On my tablet and my phone, I often am in landscape mode when at office. There isn't that much UX that needs to be developed for this one, so please?

Adding email as a left tab panel remains under review. We are working on adding several Teams and email integrations:

    - Share to Teams: Share a copy of an email and any attachments into a chat or channel directly from Outlook

    - Share to Outlook: Share a copy of a channel or chat conversation via email directly from Teams

    - Actionable Teams Activity Emails: Teams missed activity emails display the latest replies and allow you to reply directly from Outlook

See this post for more information:

@suphatra: I think there has been some good noise on this recently. I hope you will amend your current tagged comment.

Wanted to add.. you have calendar in teams, so users already have half of their key Outlook information in teams.

A soft link to email that can be turned off / on by admin (given other feedback) would be very nice.

The point is to move users in to this tool. sometimes some evolution is worth the effort, we are changing behaviors, not blowing them up.

Wish I could like posts.. @Ethanthekiwi your comment is why Suphatra has such the fun job.

Where is our communications dashboard? In a perfect world, we could have it both ways.

This falls under the 'make teams a dashboard'. Planner tab is same idea. If I could see even a web view of my email and dip in, rather than having to keep outlook.exe running, my productivity would sky rocket just from not seeing so many email notifications!

The concept of Teams is a dashboard for all streams of communication is pretty profound. I didn't think of this idea, but it is quite a good one.

This item is still under review by the feature team. I have no details as to when a decision might happen.

There is a case to be made that any improvement will be better than the current circumstance.

If the team is focused in a channel, we see whats going on. However for the channels which are less popular but relevant, messages can get lost as no one notices the bold.

Please give us some count, and then worry about the awesome ideas which have been shared.

I have another similar issue with Onenote within Teams. I want to post a direct link to a specific page within my master onenote, so I don't have to manage multiple notebooks. Adding the link as a website URL just produces a black screen.

I’m switching the status to Partially Done.

From the perspective of the Admin / SharePoint coordiantor, the experience is fairly solid. After I build a team and identify staff, they get their notification and login difficulty.

From the perspective of a user, logging in and seeing what has been assigned is nice. In our use case, we aren't interested in discoverability given the size of our company. This would be a different response if we were larger and expected the team to be more on their own.

Concerning Scenario B. It is a helpful feature which was rolled out & appreciated. Several times as a team is working on a project, we want to reference and collaborate with an existing location and don't want to copy content in to the team. This is useful, just not the root request.

Please pass on the appreciation for the work going in to Teams and o365 solutions, it is all coming together. ...speaking as a user of course, just not fast enough! :)

Scenario A is the paramount point. For the simple reason that if you have been using SP already, introducing teams for an effort creates a new SP site at the root, which is crazy confusing and miserable to manage.
    Answers to your question:
    1. How about just a drop down that says 'make new site' or 'connect to existing'. set the path. agree to whatever permissions / alterations are necessary.
-- this gives us 'files' to the default document library
-- anything else is using the SharePoint link or other features.
    2. 10+ I can't continue to adopt at our present rate, the duplicate SP sites and split knowledge is horrible
    3. ....Given the narrative use case I presented, my sense is this should be core / OOTB. but i see the point of how best to tackle this now / later.

Thank you so much for re-opening this!

Such a simple button on the teams UI. Would go a long way to ease adoption.
