Thank you for the feedback, have you tried changing your Notifications under settings (you can find this by clicking on your picture in the lower left part of your screen). You can customize the type of notifications you receive from Teams.

Hi. Thanks for the response. I didn't change any of my settings but all of a sudden, 2 days after I posted my message to UserVoice, the flood of e-mails stopped so I thought the issue had been resolved. In the 'notification settings', there is a option to select next to 'chat messages' and it says 'e-mail' for me but shouldn't the mail be sent only in case there are some unread messages? It seems to me that getting mails about 'read messages' is a waste of time.
But not getting them anymore so I guess this can be closed?Kevin Cocquyt shared this idea ·
