It's not autocompleteing emoji, its actually using the old Lync smileys. This can be solved if they just got rid of the old smileys and just stick to emoji. There's already an idea open for that.

We are working on a design with more density in mind. Until this design is solidified we are putting this item back to Under Review.

How hard can this be?
Its been two years since this was raised and probably four since Teams first started development. Should have been sorted in two weeks.Derek supported this idea ·

You shouldn't need feedback if you hired some good UX designers. It's all common sense stuff and if you can't see why the interface sucks, you should just give up. But this is Microsoft, usability has never been top of the list

They just need to drop the terrible emoji set inherited from skype and just implement the standard emoji set like everyone else has done, no brainer.

MS has spent more than enough time on Teams for it to rival Slack, but it's not even close. If they don't get it up to scratch soon, it will be dead in the water.

The zoom feature has released to the public ring. Using CRTL + or CTRL – zoom in and out on a Windows PC.
I need to correct the information I provided last month about MAC. It appears the MAC version is still in testing and hasn’t yet gone out to the public. It is “In Testing” but will be coming to the public soon!
The item tracking this specific update can be found at: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/admin/v3/suggestions/16933183/activity
There now is a UI element that tells you your current zoom level and a Setting within the UI to preset your zoom preference.
Since the zoom feature could very well cover the vast majority of user needs, based on the majority of comments and feedback, I will flag this item as Partially Done.
Thank you for all the feedback and support!

Thank you for your feedback! Our team is currently working on a significant update to add a broader and more diverse selection of emojis to Teams. We will share an update as soon as one is available.
The ability to add custom emojis and custom reactions is still under review, and we will share an update as soon as one is available.

Disagree. They should drop all the old emoticons and just stick to the emoji standard.
