This is essential to our slack workflows. Not having keyword monitoring just makes Teams a less useful program.

Another important thing with the breakout model of threads specifically is that there is a need to be able to view other channels while maintaining your focus on a specific and relevant discussion. Threads in Slack permit that by letting you navigate other channels to keep up to date with relevant updates *while not skipping a beat in the conversation directly to the side of your main channels.*
The way Teams does threading is just a way to promote inefficient use of inline screen space. Why even have threads the way Teams is now? We may as well just use IRC with threading this bad.
