Thank you for your feedback! We are happy to share that users who write different messages in different languages, will now see spellchecking relevant to the language they are actively using when typing a message while using the Microsoft Teams Desktop App on Windows.

How can this take this long? Backlog since before 11/2019 - now 1/2021.
When I have O365 on the machine with the correct spell check why can the "embedded" Word inside Teams *not* use that?
Although it's possible to "Set Proofing Language..." for a given file once inside the "embedded" Word instance but there seems to be no way to have that selection as default. It always reverts back to English.
