We understand that the current ability to rearrange tabs does not include files and posts. The feature team is reviewing the ask.

This continues to be on our backlog due to prioritization of other work items. We will update when there is more to share.

Thats is sad indeed. Can we have at least some workaround ? (export/import tool for chats ?)

Hi any progress on this topic ? If you have postponed it, simply state it, we'll plan accordingly... thanks!

Hi Suphatra,
any hint on timeline ? We want to reorg some things and are waiting for this feature. A very rough estimate would help, - say, - Q1 2019 or Q2 2019 or later ? Thanks a lot!An error occurred while saving the comment Laimonas commented

any preliminary date ? I have tons of valuable chats splattered all over the place I'd like to merge under one team :-)An error occurred while saving the comment Laimonas commented
Promoting channel to a team would be awesom.
Also merging Channels: say, I have 2 channels, with topics sales and sales_frankfurt and I want to merge them into one which is sales.
I'd like a function that copies all notes, files, chat automatically.
I can do that manually of course, but it takes timeLaimonas supported this idea ·

Any message, any chat, - in channel, personal ones and in particular activity feed items should have this option, - all GTD activists will be happy!

its quite easy to merge documents, one can move also onenote notes, but the pain point is chat discussions: there is just no option to take those over into another channel of another team. and this is necessary, if there are valuable threads in the existing chat and I want to make a reorg/cleanup.
A tech feature to export whole chat and reimport it elsewhere would do it too. Such a reorg is handled by admins in most cases anyway.

Hi,
that kind of webpart would be awesome!
our use case: we are relatively small consulting company(ca. 500 consultants), and we would like to use Teams chat for "outer circle" information recipients(Yammer candidates usually) as well as for the "inner circle"(project teams, departments, etc): Advantages would be:- same mobile app, same entrance point for all work related communications and info flow.
- Teams "visibility" from SP sites and vice versaI do understand Microsofts concept of separating teamwork chat and global, company-wide chat, but our consultants have very small "time windows" to catch up with internal matters, - all the time and attention is towards our customers.
thanks!

Pinning the entire document library is supported today. Learn more here, https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/add-a-sharepoint-page-or-list-to-a-channel-in-teams-131edef1-455f-4c67-a8ce-efa2ebf25f0b.
We currently do not support pinning a specific folder, but we are considering this feature.

Dear Warren,
our use case: we have a central doclib in Project center(an SP site), containing all customers and their docs.
and we create teams as collab spaces for each customer.
Ideally, we would like to embed as teams tab only that part of doclib mentioned above, that is relevant to the collab team, and work on it. So the solution proposed above, - allowing to embed a specific view, most probably wouldt fit.another alternative that would help is an option to add folder or specific view rather than whole doclib with the feature "Add Cloud Storage".
Thanks

I'd like to see conversations SUBJECT in saved-conversations prieview on left window, ideally in bold. Now I see Team, channel, poster and the beginning of the post.

if you have an existing post that you want to show in a different channel, you can edit the message and cross-post. This will add the top-level post to the different channel, but will not include the full set of replies. We will keep this request in mind as we evolve the cross-posting feature in the future and update if the status changes.
Details on cross posting can be found here: https://support.office.com/article/cross-post-a-channel-conversation-in-teams-9c1252a3-67ef-498e-a7c1-dd7147b3d295.

Dear Suphatra, i found various similar requests, so I will post my comment here rather that opening a new thread. Its about moving conversation history, - chats, - from one place to another, or export/import thereof. We have started Knowledge exchange initiative in our company, using Teams. Works fine, search is fantastic, integration options are great and user acceptance is MUCH higher than classical Sharepoint. After a while, we've noticed that we created too many teams and it would make sense to merge some of those. Or to rearrange. Everything is doable manually, - files, tabs, connectors...except of chat history, - I cant find a way to move whole history of chats from one Team to another. Maybe you can recommend some technical workaround via API ? The point is, we have valuable knowledge residing in chat, announcements, statements, etc...and we dont want losing it, but a rearrangement is necessary from time to time.
I dont expect a comfortable "move" button, since I understand the complexity of this task, but f.e. an export into external file and then import in other teams channel ? With prerequisite that users on sender and recipient part are same to have a 100%match?
thanks a lot

The engineering team is continuing to work on adding support for multiple accounts on desktop clients. We will first launch support for 1 work/school account and 1 personal account so users can enjoy Teams for work and personal side-by-side. Windows and MacOS. Support for multiple work accounts is still being worked on and will come at a later date.
You can track status via the roadmap here: https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/roadmap?searchterms=68845.
Thanks!

Its the 5th biggest uservoice item with over 11 000 voices and you put it on the backlog. Why do we vote here, then ?
