Thank you for your feedback! We are updating this as “Partialy Done” as our first step to solving for pinned posts has been released! Pinned posts allows users from a team to pin a message for everyone in the channel to be able to easily reference. While any message can be pinnable, we expect our users to use this feature to pin information like channel guidelines or important announcements. We know this doesn’t solve all pinning scenarios, and that there is still a need to make this easier for users to find, especially within the message list. We will share another update as soon as it is available.

I have the feeling that the current implementation of pinned posts is more like a 'Save message for everyone', where the key requirement was that the feature should work for any number of posts.
In my opinion, the most popular use case for 'real' pinned posts is making users aware of any channel rules/guidelines. Such pinned posts should immediately catch the attention when a user opens the channel and no extra user action at all should be needed to show/find such posts.
Maybe it's an idea to implement a 'Pin on top' option for a limited number of posts (1 or 2, so that they don't take away too much space for the regular posts)?
However it's done, I think there's a real need to be able to have select permanent information readily visible (eye-catching) when a user opens the channel.
