This is a rather important feature for peer reviews and group programming. Please reconsider prioritizing this.

Great performance and user experience remain a topmost priority for us. Application launch time has seen improvements in the recent build. We will continue making improvements across the product including channel to chat switching and overall resource consumption.

Ali's comment EXACTLY captures the problem: "When Teams starts with no internet connection, it gives error. But when internet connection established it does not automatically connect. There should be an automatic connection feature when internet connection establishes. It is really important to not to miss any messages."

we have this!  ·  Suphatra responded

When you click the “Meet Now” button in a channel, you can click the little “Off” or “On” that appears in the window next to the word “Video”, and this will either enable or disable video before the call starts.

Please note we currently allow screensharing only when the video is enabled. If you would like to be able to screenshare without a video, please vote here: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/16936774-enable-screen-sharing-without-video-call

This is super irritating. For example, currently if there are 3 people in a meeting but only one is broadcasting video, it splits the view halfway between a useless placeholder icon for the non-broadcaster, and a half-cut-off video from the active broadcaster. We need the option to choose which person's entire video we are viewing, no matter how many people are in the conference.

I’m excited to announce that a new Large Gallery view, with the ability to see up to 49 participant in a meeting, is coming soon to Teams! Large Gallery will release as an optional (preview) feature that can be turned on at any time during a meeting. Large Gallery has a flexible design and will deliver a network-optimized client video experience that works on multiple device categories. During the preview, the Large Gallery experience will be available for desktop Teams client on both Windows & Mac, as well as for mobile Teams client (iOS, Android) users.

Large Gallery will begin rolling out with the new pop-out meetings experience for desktop clients in early July, and we are targeting full availability including mobile clients for iOS and Android by early September.

For more details, check out the Roadmap item: https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=&searchterms=65333.

    Thanks,
    Alex & the Teams team

Google Hangouts did a pretty good job with this idea, it would be SO great to have that functionality.

During video calls, allow us to click on a person to force their video to take up the whole window (Including one's own camera!). Especially since some people do not turn on their video, their icon should not take up a portion of the screen that could be used to enlarge an active video broadcast. Thank you!!

Please please make this a priority!! Allowing custom notification sounds *per conversation* and even *per person* would be the BEST!!! Please!!

Once support for Windows 10 native notifications is released, users who choose to use Windows notifications will be able to utilize Windows OS specific settings for the length of time to display notifications. Mac does not have an OS specific setting, so will not have the support.

I’m excited to share that I got to use this in our experimental settings the other day. We’ve built it and are testing it internally. I’ll let you know once it moves up in the validation rings!
