Just following up to let you know we are making progress on this feature and will post when we have more news to share.
Still awaiting this solution.
Apple and MS fix it
Item 1 and 2 are Under Review.
Item 3 has been Completed.
I’ll keep you posted as I hear more on this request.
Conversations should be fully expanded by default. This is how it is in Slack, and it is much easier. I want to be able to read what people are saying - not just the first and last lines. Please fix this asap
Unfortunately because of changing priorities, this feature was moved to the backlog. The team hopes to pick it up again in the near future.
I use teams at my office and it's beyond frustrating that I cannot choose where my files will save. I desperately need the "save as" function available!
We are continuing to work on this feature. As with Windows notifications, we are also doing work to give users the choice between Teams notifications & Mac notifications.
We will update you as work progresses.
Vow!! Microsoft really rocks!!
Agreed. We desperately need this for our Dynamics CRM software company. We are a Microsoft partner. We need this please!
yes! idk why they wouldnt have that as an option from the teams phones (yealinks and other teams firmware voip phones)
We only use Office 365 for the Office suite. We don't use it for Teams, Email, Sharepoint, etc. Everytime I uninstall Teams it reinstalls itself. If I'm stuck with it, than there should be an option to not start upon start up.
I can't believe I had to search for this, THEN find out blocking a user isn't even possible on Teams. Unbelievable! My organization (of over 20k+ employees) uses Teams over the internet, which means ANYONE with my email address and a MS chat application like Skype can (and do) contact me against my will. Sales people, exes, exes family, exes friends. I get a CONSTANT barrage of IM's all day and can barely use Teams for its intended function, talking with my actual team... I am unable to mute or hide external contacts, just internal ones. Then as an added benefit, it saves all of those chats for me for eternity... Please do something about this.
We have raised the priority of this work item, and it is currently being worked on. We don’t have any dates to share at this point, but will update when we have new status. Thank you!
I NOT sure HOW SHE DEFINED getting ETA from THEM AFTER THE HOLIDAYS! I NOT SURE HOW LONG IS THEIR HOLIDAY........... WELL DONE!!!
I’m happy to share that the team has started exploring designs for this feature.
This would be a great feature and is very needed!
We are working on a design with more density in mind. Until this design is solidified we are putting this item back to Under Review.
This topic gets more disappointing with every 'update'. Get it together
Thank you for the feedback. Changing the default setting is under review by the feature team, and your feedback is very useful as they are evaluating.
Please add this feature, users are looking for another product due to the lack of notifications by default
Teams could be SOOO much more if it is possible to manage the notifications per channel.
We created a channel for planned maintenance on servers, but without notifications, we realised that no one actually sees it....
We absolutely need this ability to save and export team group conversations. Is anyone in support listening? When can we expect this feature to be available?
The team is happy to announce that this functionality is now available through the Presence Graph API which is now in public Beta! We have additional functionality planned for the API so please keep checking back for updates.
Please note that this is a beta version of the API and may be subject to change. Use of these APIs in production applications is not supported.

Should have been included as a default...
This feature remains on the backlog. We will update you when we have status changes to share.
This feature item is still in the works. We will keep you posted as we have new info from the feature team.
Can anyone find a chat application that does not show you who is in a channel?? Maybe Microsoft Teams is trying to be 'special'??
