I’m updating this one to “partially done”.
The emoji size was reduced by close to 50% from the original size. So this part of the request is considered complete.
The option to Turn Off Emojis is still being worked upon. Though no timeline is available at the moment.
Not a lot of new info. This item is still being actively worked upon and is part of the official convergence roadmap that was already shared.
Official roadmap for convergence: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Microsoft-Teams-Blog/Roadmap-for-Skype-for-Business-capabilities-coming-to-Microsoft/ba-p/119636
We are making very good progress and I hope to have a timeline to share soon.
This should be put on a very high priority. It isn't fun to support both products with so much overlap, and neither work awesomely. Different teams only use Skype...Others only use Teams. Please completely integrate to avoid all the fuss and confusion. Then polish the heck out of it, and iron out all the major bugs.
This item is still queued in the backlog. No really new info to share at this time.
It isn’t forgotten but as Suphatra stated some priorities have shifted so this item is not actively being worked upon.
We will continue to follow up on this and work to get some traction for this item.
Thank you for your patience.
Just build all the features into the browser including video, calling, etc. That would eliminate any need for a thick client. I thought this is why the web was invented, no?
Don't forget an IRC gateway like Slack has. Not Linux specific, but generally related.
Thanks for the responses everyone! We’ve officially put this feature on our roadmap. I’ll ping you again if we need more feedback.
