The zoom feature has released to the public ring. Using CRTL + or CTRL – zoom in and out on a Windows PC.
I need to correct the information I provided last month about MAC. It appears the MAC version is still in testing and hasn’t yet gone out to the public. It is “In Testing” but will be coming to the public soon!
The item tracking this specific update can be found at: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/admin/v3/suggestions/16933183/activity
There now is a UI element that tells you your current zoom level and a Setting within the UI to preset your zoom preference.
Since the zoom feature could very well cover the vast majority of user needs, based on the majority of comments and feedback, I will flag this item as Partially Done.
Thank you for all the feedback and support!
I want to be able to change the font size without zooming the whole UI. I believe we should be able to make the font bigger in the active Window, just like you would on say Microsoft Word, Visual Studio or even the Windows 10 mail app. All of these allow the font size to be increased independent of the UI. Scaling the whole UI feels like a hack.
I personally don't consider this idea to be done (or partially done) as there was a separate feature request relating to the UI zoom.
As we announced at Microsoft Ignite 2019 this morning, we are excited to confirm that Multi-window capabilities are coming to Microsoft Teams, and will start rolling out to the public ring early next year!
Alex & the Teams team
This is in internal testing. I don’t have exact timing for you, but wanted to let you know it is coming!
This is such an obvious one for me. Why do all my notifications go via the Windows 10 notification centre apart from Teams which has it's own annoying pop-up which doesn't obey the same rules.
This feature request is still on in the backlog. No new updates available at this time.
This feature is still being reviewed by the feature team. No decision has been made yet. I’ll keep you posted.
Same happens if you plug in a usb webcam. Unless you quit Teams entirely and then restart it you can switch to the USB camera.
Thank you so much for your support of the product. This request was particularly helpful and we appreciate your engagement in the surveys, comments and forum to help us design this feature. Please continue to submit ideas!
For this item, we’re making great progress. It has now entered TAP validation with a small group of tenants. Will let you know how that goes!
This feature request has moved to the planning stage. There have also been several small updates that have gone out already, as well.
I’ll keep you posted as I hear more about coming updates.
Due to prioritization of other work-items this has been moved to the backlog. We will update when it is being actively worked on again.
We’re currently working on defining a compact mode experience. I will post more details when we have more to share.
As a small development team we all really like the layout and the big emoticons and stickers. I don't consider them to be unprofessional in any way. Each to their own I suppose, but I hope that we gain options rather than the design being changed for everyone.
The feature team is still reviewing, there is lots of discussion about this item and I hope to have a decision soon.
