This feature is still on the backlog.
Unbelievable that this level of bug goes ignored for so long. Makes a mockery of anyone interested in governance and using Teams. Makes even more of a mockery for those MS partners who have to deal with irate clients facing this issue.
We’re currently working on defining a compact mode experience. I will post more details when we have more to share.
We acknowledge the customer demand for Private Channels and have been hard at work on it. Private Channels is currently in preview with a select group of customers. We expect to release the feature to the public later this Fall, and will update here when we are starting to roll out to all customers. Agree - we need to be able to clean up the menu to make it more intuitive. You can delete the underlying channel Onenote but the menu item still resides. This ain't a good UX
