Maybe offer it as an alternative view/mode for those that prefer it.

needs your feedback  ·  Suphatra responded

Hi everyone, I wanted to check in on this ask because it’s died down since GA, and also because the ask is not totally clear to me.

Right now, we provide a way during the team creation process for you to select an existing Office 365 group. Are you asking to be able to do this same thing, but outside of Teams?

    Do let me know!

    Sincerely,
    Suphatra

Selecting an existing O365 group is great during creation, but requires new users to be added manually, and old users removed.

Linking membership to an AD group would allow the group membership to manage itself.

I believe this would be a limitation of Planner itself, and would be better presented on the Uservoice for that product. In fact, the suggestion exists, has TONS of support, and is apparently already in the works.

Adding email as a left tab panel remains under review. We are working on adding several Teams and email integrations:

    - Share to Teams: Share a copy of an email and any attachments into a chat or channel directly from Outlook

    - Share to Outlook: Share a copy of a channel or chat conversation via email directly from Teams

    - Actionable Teams Activity Emails: Teams missed activity emails display the latest replies and allow you to reply directly from Outlook

See this post for more information:

    Thanks!

Eventually it would be nice to have something native, but to start I don't think it would need to be that fancy - For example, I was able to add my o365 OWA page to the new Website tab type. Making that permanently available on the left, near chat/meetings/files/etc. would be a great place to start.

on the backlog  ·  Warren responded

I apologize, there had been come miscommunication with regards to this topic.

The good news is that this item has not been declined! It has actually been approved by the feature team and is now “On the Backlog”.

I’ll keep this thread updated as we move through the development.

Within outlook you can view your Teams under Groups, for each Team you can subscribe or leave the conversation.

    Thanks for the feedback.

We are considering a number of ways to better integrate experiences across Teams, Outlook, and other apps. However, we don’t have any specifics to share on this request.
