Thanks for the feedback. My name is Amir and I am a product manager in the Shifts team. Can you please explain a bit more about this scenario? I am trying to understand what is applicable for the Shifts app vs. general group/1:1/channel chat. Thank you!

Ok, we have similar use case.
Every shift might be assigned a “head nurse” role or a “team leader” role. One might want to tag the team leader or ‘head nurse’ even though they don’t know which individual is covering that role.

Retail has the concept of an MOD (manager on duty) that is typically the manager in charge for a shift.
Hospitals and clinics have similar roles.

Now this would be a LOT easier if ***** allowed us to assign the ROLES first (including an alias, for example) and THEN assign people to the role.

If you’re wondering how that would work then check out competitive products like wheniwork or deputy.

This is a showstopper. It's not at all clear when you set up shfits that anyone that is "allowed to schedule" a shift has to become a team owner. This is a HUGE roadblock that is keeping us from moving from Staffhub.

IF it's not fixed soon we're going to have to move from Staffhub to a third party competitive product rather than to Shifts.

This needs to be fixed, Microsoft.

Disclosing the reason might also contravene privacy laws in many provinces in Canada.
There are privacy implications here that Microsoft is not recognizing or respecting.

    thank you!  ·  Warren responded

    Thanks for the feedback.

We are considering a number of ways to better integrate experiences across Teams, Outlook, and other apps. However, we don’t have any specifics to share on this request.

We are now preparing for the roll out of Tasks in Teams which will integrate additional features integrating To-Do and Planner. This includes additional list views that also extend to tabs in teams. Further announcements about additional integration in our overall Tasks coherence effort will follow.

You can follow the rollout via our Roadmap item: https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/roadmap?searchterms=57213. To see a preview of the experience, please visit https://youtu.be/rTATVGroEsQ.
