Slack has a "channel details" information sidebar that you can optionally turn on. One of the sub-categories there is showing members and current online status icon. When having conversations in channels, it is very useful to be able to see who from the team is currently online/offline so you can see who to expect to join in on conversation for topic being discussed. In MS teams, you have to jump to chat screen or type a person in search box to see if they are online currently. NOT EFFICIENT
The windows desktop app is not showing a red dot/notification of notification of message waiting in another tenant view (e.g. guest access elsewhere). The browser seems to show the red notification dot, but not the desktop app. This is a critical flaw and needs to be fixed. Otherwise you are depending on email notifications and though you eventually find out, it loses the "instant" in instant messaging!!!
We know you are patiently waiting for this feature. This feature is being implemented in stages. Fast tenant switching is currently in testing both internally and with early customers. We expect to release to the public in the Fall. I’ll post an update once it’s rolling out.
Full multi-tenant, multi-user support will be added after fast tenant switching.
We acknowledge the customer demand for Private Channels and have been hard at work on it. Private Channels is currently in preview with a select group of customers. We expect to release the feature to the public later this Fall, and will update here when we are starting to roll out to all customers. We appreciate all the feedback you have provided to us on this forum and thank you for your patience.
Performance has been and continues to be a big focus area for Teams. One main area we have made improvements in is responsiveness for the most frequent user actions of switching between Chat, Channel, and Activity. We are also focused on reducing resource consumption and application load time. More improvements are on the way.
Going back in time (scrolling up in a chat) is so dreadful. Each screenful of information you have to wait for it to appear. I could see waiting for images to download. But when the conversation is all text waiting is just perplexing and a terrible UX.
The ability to do a test call prior to a meeting is currently being tested internally. We will update you as soon as it’s available. Thanks.
You really need to add option to jump into chat at the point in time of the selected result. You can see the date of the matching result. However, when you jump out of search back to chat it is a dreadful experience to scroll up a chat history page by page if the result is far in the past!!!
Hi folks, we are collecting feedback on this so we can determine prioritization and user need.
Please comment in the thread below about how this affects you, how you currently add members, and who you think would benefit from this in your organization.

The zoom feature has released to the public ring. Using CRTL + or CTRL – zoom in and out on a Windows PC.
I need to correct the information I provided last month about MAC. It appears the MAC version is still in testing and hasn’t yet gone out to the public. It is “In Testing” but will be coming to the public soon!
The item tracking this specific update can be found at: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/admin/v3/suggestions/16933183/activity
There now is a UI element that tells you your current zoom level and a Setting within the UI to preset your zoom preference.
Since the zoom feature could very well cover the vast majority of user needs, based on the majority of comments and feedback, I will flag this item as Partially Done.
Thank you for all the feedback and support!
So happy to share that this is off the backlog and we are actively working on it!
Hate to be the bearer of bad news. This item has been declined. There will be no work to hide or remove the reply button.
As many people have commented, a big ask is to help improve how people distinguish between giving a reply and starting a new message.
For that the focus will be on this item. “Better visual delineation between `Reply` and `Start a new conversation`”
This feature item is still in the works. We will keep you posted as we have new info from the feature team.
