I can see how the rich text version is convenient for pasting into an email, but perhaps check with the OneNote team on how they handled this in their "Copy Link to Page" feature (desktop and Windows 10 versions). When I paste that into an email, I get the Rich Text version, but when I paste it into plain text, I get URIs (granted, ugly ones because it's one for HTTP and one for the onenote:// protocol, but at least usable). I bet there's a property in the clipboard API that allows developers to specify different content to be used for different targets (Rich Text editor like email and Slack vs. plain text editor like Telegram and most everywhere else). A little research could resolve this issue while still retaining the nice Rich Text feature for email and other RTEs.

First, thanks for adding this improvement to Teams Free. I think it addresses a serious difficulty that needed to be addressed to simplify the process of meeting online to compete with similar functionality. Teams has so much more in other areas that if Meetings are done well, Teams will be in a very good position in comparison.

This is definitely a missing key feature that I was surprised is missing, but I'm betting they want to get this big improvement shipped first and refine it later (probably for the best).

It is tricky to schedule a meeting and then not be able to find it later if you hadn't shared or copied it. While I see that you can add to your calendar using the Outlook or Google link, I feel like that is a workaround. Likely, they just haven't connected this part of Teams to the consumer version of Outlook (or I guess use whatever Outlook calendar is associated with the account you are logged into Teams with). That probably does get tricky dealing with different kinds of accounts. It would be nice for it to at least assume the account you are logged in with and prompt you to create an Outlook account if you don't already have one (understandably, there's more work to be done for that as well), but I think that would be a good starting point.

I’m excited to announce that a new Large Gallery view, with the ability to see up to 49 participant in a meeting, is coming soon to Teams! Large Gallery will release as an optional (preview) feature that can be turned on at any time during a meeting. Large Gallery has a flexible design and will deliver a network-optimized client video experience that works on multiple device categories. During the preview, the Large Gallery experience will be available for desktop Teams client on both Windows & Mac, as well as for mobile Teams client (iOS, Android) users.

Large Gallery will begin rolling out with the new pop-out meetings experience for desktop clients in early July, and we are targeting full availability including mobile clients for iOS and Android by early September.

For more details, check out the Roadmap item: https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=&searchterms=65333.

    Thanks,
    Alex & the Teams team

Thank you for your continued feedback. As many people have pointed out, this is available on mobile today. Support for replying to a specific message is on the backlog for desktop. I’ll let you know when we have progress to share. Thanks.

I would like to see this as a feature that stays enabled between app launches, etc, as well.

I did find that you can do this per call by clicking hitting the Alt key once during the call while focus is on the call. If you don't change which view you are in, it will even work across multiple calls. I tested this using the /testcall command in the command bar.

This is specifically within the Teams area of the application, not the Chats area. Ctrl+Up does not work there either. Thanks for the suggestion to try though.

Due to a priority shift this request has slipped to the backlog. I hate to bring bad news. I will continue to provide the feature team your feedback and votes.
Hopefully this will move back up in the queue soon.

This is important to accomplish for nerd acceptance, though I think that having the matching GIFs load in the popup window is great. Slack implementations of GIFs either leave too much to chance (you don't get to select a GIF) or require hitting a Shuffle button or paging through just a few GIFS at a time. Telegram's @gif implementation is the best keyboard/UI combination I've ever seen, so that should be the gold standard (and would really just mean adding a keyboard shortcut to open up the GIF UI in Teams to support).

Following up on my previous message, it looks like it was only added in Chat so far, but hopefully it will be added in the Teams part of messaging soon as well.

So this suggestion would hopefully apply to Chats and to the Teams portion of the app when this functionality is added there as well hopefully.

    Thanks!

I'd say all emoji since that's what your competition provides and you have to beat your competition. In this case, Slack goes even further and allows the user to upload their own custom emoji as well (including GIFs of very limited dimensions and file size). The users as the company I work for use this feature heavily, so it is one that Teams would be judged for not having. I will check to see if this additional feature has already been requested and add it if not.
