As stated in the last update, the ability to use multiple Teams accounts at the same time is being implemented in stages for Desktop. Faster tenant switching functionality on the Windows client has been rolled out to the public ring fully, and Mac will begin rolling out soon. Work is in progress on cross-tenant notification improvements, and support for multiple accounts on desktop will follow. We’ll keep you posted!
Note: The ability to use multiple Teams accounts at the same time is supported on iOS & Android today.

Fast tenant switching is like putting a bandaid on after you've chopped my hand off...... It just doesn't help.
I'm in multiple organisations with the same Office 365 account and I need to be able to chat wiall organisations at once. As it is right now I have to switch organisation every time there's a message sent. And if I'm called in the org I'm not currently signed into I get no notification!!!!!
This is way overdue now! Get it fixed.
Seriously in stages? Throw out the stages, and fix the actual problem! We need to be able to chat with different organizations at the same time. I'm running out of browsers. As a quick fix can we get to start Teams multiple times at least?????????
As we announced at Microsoft Ignite 2019 this morning, we are excited to confirm that Multi-window capabilities are coming to Microsoft Teams, and will start rolling out to the public ring early next year!

Stop looking for solutions and do the obvious. Tear off meeting, tear off chat, tear off a team. Would probably cover 95% of the users needs.
Congrats it's almost been 3 years to get this fixed. And ETA is "we don't know as we're busy trying to build the scope for this" ?
There is currently 8 Uservoice items marked as Done. I can't believe any of those made it past this one.
This feature is still on the backlog.
Please get this fixed. I'm norwegian and I HATE with a passion translated UI's. So let me have my Norwegian time and date format while using the english language settings.
The team is working on changes to the desktop client so recently opened tabs are kept in memory, as long as it doesn’t use too much memory.
I will keep you posted as we make further progress.
