We acknowledge the customer demand for Private Channels and have been hard at work on it. Private Channels is currently in preview with a select group of customers. We expect to release the feature to the public later this Fall, and will update here when we are starting to roll out to all customers. We appreciate all the feedback you have provided to us on this forum and thank you for your patience.
There are two parts to this topic:
1) Bypass the lobby for PSTN: The ability for admins and organizers to be able to specify a meeting option to bypass the PSTN lobby independently of the VoIP lobby —> We are working on it and we’ll update as we get closer to completion
2) Admit from lobby for PSTN: Organizer having ability to admit PSTN attendees from the lobby, when the organizer has joined via PSTN with a PIN. – This is in the backlog, to be worked on after #1.Rob commented
My user account is set for Teams Only. If I create the meeting in Teams or Outlook in Windows, everyone will have to wait until I log into the meeting via Teams or via PSTN with leader PIN.
If I launch my Outlook app on android and create the meeting with Skype meeting switch enabled, there is no lobby and people can start without me.
This feature is released now, please try it out and provide feedback. For details, please see the documentation below:
