We're seeing this here as well, for at least the past couple of weeks. My steps are:

    1) Select the Chat tab on the left
    2) Type a username into the Search box in the title bar and press enter
    3) Select the user from People search results
    4) Type a message to the user and press ENTER when finished to send the message
    5) Teams app immediately switches away from 'chat' to the 'Teams' tab.

At this point, I have to click the chat tab again and select the user in my 'recent' list to get back to the chat and type my next message.

It's worth noting that this only seems to happen when chatting with a user who doesn't already have a conversation history with me in Teams... only the first message in a new conversation with a user. If I select a user in my 'Favorites' or 'Recent' chat list and send them a message, this doesn't happen.

5 months later, in March of 2018, I'm seeing this in a conversation today. I don't know if it's happened before, since I don't see the skype user's side of a conversation generally. The conversation looks normal in Teams on my side, but on the other user's side in skype my message is surrounded by <div> tags.

This feature is still in the works. There was some adjustments to the overall strategy.
I’ll try to get some additional details and share them with you.

A UWP could also be in the microsoft store, run on Surface Hub, and perhaps even on xbox. I can't fathom why Teams was developed as anything other than a UWP app...

What I'm looking for is a compact view similar to the Skype for Business client. We need a client view/mode which can be kept open to the side of the screen and displays the user's contact list and allows them to initiate a chat conversation and make or receive calls. Basically, collapse the right hand pane entirely, where a conversation appears, when I'm not using it. Only show the tabs on the left side to navigate between sections, the contact list.
I know that this doesn't fit with the way Teams is intended to be used, but if Teams is going to replace Skype for Business then it should support the use cases of the Skype4B client as well.

if you have an existing post that you want to show in a different channel, you can edit the message and cross-post. This will add the top-level post to the different channel, but will not include the full set of replies. We will keep this request in mind as we evolve the cross-posting feature in the future and update if the status changes.

Details on cross posting can be found here: https://support.office.com/article/cross-post-a-channel-conversation-in-teams-9c1252a3-67ef-498e-a7c1-dd7147b3d295.

As the last status states, we have been testing for several months.  Although many people have asked for this feature, we received a similar amount of feedback from other users that they prefer the Teams notifications and don’t want them changed.  We are currently testing a feature for users to choose between Teams notifications & Windows notifications.

We will update you as work progresses.

This feature is still being reviewed by the feature team. No decision has been made yet. I’ll keep you posted.
