It does seem to search conversations but think the results could be better categorised making it easier to locate the Team/Channel you are looking for
The feature team is still reviewing, there is lots of discussion about this item and I hope to have a decision soon.
I'd probably use it if it was there but don't see it as essential. I suspect that most of my teams would continue to use Outlook separately. It would be nice to be able to file emails into conversations in some way as, despite the conversation thread, people internally and obviously externally still use email to start or continue conversations that are part of Teams.

This is a key requirement to make this fully useful for project work. Solutions like Zoho Projects already have this and it's one of the main reasons we switched to using it and a reason we don't currently use Planner. Many projects start with a set of tasks and documents, having to create say 100 tasks each time you start a new marketing campaign or customer project is tedious, time consuming, and risks tasks being missed - to be able to create a new Team for say a customer project and choose a template which brings in all the standard documents and tasks as a starting point, which you then edit for any project specifics, makes it a much more useable solution.
