We acknowledge the customer demand for Private Channels and have been hard at work on it. Private Channels is currently in preview with a select group of customers. We expect to release the feature to the public later this Fall, and will update here when we are starting to roll out to all customers. We appreciate all the feedback you have provided to us on this forum and thank you for your patience.
Guest access is useless without this feature.
This should be a no-brainer feature implemented in tandem with guest access. There are obvious circumstances where users may want channels within their team to which Guest Accounts do not have access.
Really REALLY hoping that this includes a 'mute' or 'quite hours' setting for notifications. Our developers have mentioned several times that the notifications can be quite distracting while thinking/coding.
And you should be able to customize the notification banner:
(1) its location on the screen
(2) is it fading or does it require a click before it disappears?
(3) How many seconds before it fades automatically?
(4) Size and color of the banner
The 'More' should be highlighted to indicate that there are new messages in the teams that you don't have marked as favorite.
The team is working on #2 (and has been for awhile). We will update as soon as we have more news.
So happy to share that this is off the backlog and we are actively working on it!
This is currently in internal testing rings at Microsoft, and the feature team is targeting a release to the public in early Q2.

This feature request is still being actively worked upon. Good progress is being made, but I cannot share any additional details at this time.
While we work on our Whiteboard you can also try the third party whiteboard app Freehand by Invision that can be found by clicking the Store icon from within Teams and go to the app gallery.
Thank you for all the feedback and suggestions.
Due to a priority shift this request has slipped to the backlog. I hate to bring bad news. I will continue to provide the feature team your feedback and votes.
Hopefully this will move back up in the queue soon.
This is in internal testing. I don’t have exact timing for you, but wanted to let you know it is coming!
I’m switching the status to Partially Done.
The request for a Preview Team is still in the works. No new information is available at this time.
Team Discoverability is still being worked upon, no details are available at this time. If you support this idea please navigate over to the main topic and vote for it! https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103/
Change Prompt: this has been completed
Adding any emoji as a reaction remains under review.
I am marking this as partially done to let you know a new reactions bar with Like, Heart, Laugh, Surprised, Sad, and Angry has begun rolling out to all users.
Performance has been and continues to be a big focus area for Teams. One main area we have made improvements in is responsiveness for the most frequent user actions of switching between Chat, Channel, and Activity. We are also focused on reducing resource consumption and application load time. More improvements are on the way.

The zoom feature has released to the public ring. Using CRTL + or CTRL – zoom in and out on a Windows PC.
I need to correct the information I provided last month about MAC. It appears the MAC version is still in testing and hasn’t yet gone out to the public. It is “In Testing” but will be coming to the public soon!
The item tracking this specific update can be found at: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/admin/v3/suggestions/16933183/activity
There now is a UI element that tells you your current zoom level and a Setting within the UI to preset your zoom preference.
Since the zoom feature could very well cover the vast majority of user needs, based on the majority of comments and feedback, I will flag this item as Partially Done.
Thank you for all the feedback and support!
Holy cow. The bigger font from this latest update is universally hated by our group here in IT. Everyone is switching over to the web app just so we can zoom out and fit more information on our screen at once.
I can see below that you were getting a lot of complaints from old people with bad eyesight, but that doesn't mean you should force everyone to deal with elephant sized font. This is an unacceptable approach. The ONLY solution is to give us the ability to change font size or zoom in/out within the desktop app.
Ditto. This doesn't seem to work for any of us either.
Sorry for the delay on an update on this one! I’m hunting down the status for you and will update once I have it.
Also, if you are interested in participating in testing or surveys for this, just tweet me at @skprufo.
