Your handling of threads in channels are far superior to how Slack handles them, please do not go that route for the sake of space. There's a ton of other space/padding that can be addressed to allow for more content to be seen while still being clean and professional.

This + standardizing a proper sticker/emoji size would go a long way.

Adding email as a left tab panel remains under review. We are working on adding several Teams and email integrations:

    - Share to Teams: Share a copy of an email and any attachments into a chat or channel directly from Outlook

    - Share to Outlook: Share a copy of a channel or chat conversation via email directly from Teams

    - Actionable Teams Activity Emails: Teams missed activity emails display the latest replies and allow you to reply directly from Outlook

See this post for more information:

    Thanks!

Originally, I think the idea of living in a single app was really exciting. But for years, new chat apps, along with the arrival of Slack was the promise of killing email forever. The more I think about it, the more Teams does eliminate the need for email, or should I say, keeps email 'formal' while all the constant barrage of communications are handled via Teams. I think people want Teams/Slack to get away from email, so bringing email inside Teams, is counter to what makes the app great to begin with.

Teams needs to give us that complete view of what's offered within the Office 365 Group its built off of. At the moment, getting the Calendar & Conversation (The Groups 'conversation' should be the 'general' channel inside the Team tbh) is the most important. Once you can live inside the app and have 1:1 parity with the Group its built off of the better it'll be...

Maybe making 'OWA' a potential tab or connector is better than trying to integrate it deep into the app itself. Don't.

In O365 Groups, you have a similar set of "tabs" above...One key element I see missing in Teams is the ability to add that Team/O365 Group's calendar as a Tab...please make it so!
