If someone else in my company tries to send me an IM using Skype for Business, it shows me as offline. But I am online in TEAMS. Why can't they reach me using Skype business? I have the "Chat with Skype Business" option turned on in TEAMS.
Hi everyone, I sent over your feedback to the performance team and they let me know they are actively working on this.
“Our development organization is continually working to improve product performance and has several efforts currently underway around memory usage, action responsiveness and application start time. Updates which improve performance are part of our regular update process. Thank you for your feedback regarding the performance of Microsoft Teams.”
I will check in on them in a few weeks to see if we can get exact numbers/details on what’s been improved, and I’ll let you know.
Meanwhile, have a great weekend and don’t forget to set your clocks forward by an hour for Daylight Savings!
Hi everyone — good news and bad news. Good news is that I have an update from Engineering. Bad news is that they just let me know this has hit some road blocks and we won’t be hitting July’s target date. This is now expected to be delivered in September.
I am sorry for the delay and will update you as this gets nearer to completion! Feel free to ping me if you want to be a beta tester for this feature!
Thanks and hope everyone is enjoying their summer,

Everyone in my office thinks they have to jump back to SkypeBusiness to do a screen-share session, but in actuality you can do it with Teams if you make a call first. This isn't intuitive at all.
Thank you for this great idea! We’ve reviewed this and put it into planning.
So it turns out there are some several external dependencies that are hindering our plans for this feature. We are pulling it back into review so we can determine feasibility. Here’s to hoping we find a way to bring this to you — right now its very difficult. We are not taking this off the table though; we know this is an important feature, so we’re tracking the external dependencies to see where they land.
We got a flood of feedback in research not to eliminate this button completely, but to minimize it. So you’ll see a design change soon that makes the Reply button a little bit less conspicuous.
Let me know if you have any questions!
Hiya again folks.
I just wanted to write and let you know that I updated the idea to better reflect the vibrant discussion in the community about exactly what a private channel means. It looks like there are five definitions — shout out to user John Black who wrote it out so elegantly. I’ve included that description in the original idea.
We still have this item under review, and I’m personally interested in seeing if this request is further changed when we release guest access (coming super soon!) this summer. Stay tuned, stay cool, and as always, thanks for your support of Teams.
Hey guys, I’m rallying to get you more info. In the meantime, here’s the official response from our PR team:
“We are actively working on guest access. Thanks for your patience and stay tuned for more."
I share in your frustration and promise we are dedicated to delivering this feature, and I promise to continue to advocate for you. I appreciate your investment in us and Teams’ success.
If you have any questions, as always — just email or tweet.

Start off your weekend with good news: we’re working on this!
Thanks to everyone who brought this feature to the forefront and shared feedback on their use case scenario. Very helpful!
I wrote some more product updates on today’s Teams blog in my weekly column, “Weekend Reading” —
[insert round of hi-fives to everyone who voted for this]
It’s happening, folks!
Thank YOU for making Teams awesome.
Code snippets are still in progress. It requires significant work on our compose bar, and thus is taking longer than expected. But don’t worry, ITS COMING. Just longer than spring. I’m super sorry. :(

This gained a lot of traction five months ago and seems to have tappered off. Now that we’ve created “Follow a channel” — do you still have a business need for this feature? If so, could you share that information in the thread here on UserVoice, under this item.
