Thank you for your feedback! We are updating this as “Partialy Done” as our first step to solving for pinned posts has been released! Pinned posts allows users from a team to pin a message for everyone in the channel to be able to easily reference. While any message can be pinnable, we expect our users to use this feature to pin information like channel guidelines or important announcements. We know this doesn’t solve all pinning scenarios, and that there is still a need to make this easier for users to find, especially within the message list. We will share another update as soon as it is available.

The pinned channel post as implemented really does not work. I didn't even realise there was a channel info button until right now when I went and tracked it down - plus the pinned posts have been listed beneath all the other channel information - meaning folks will need to scroll down to view it. Sadly, this is not the point of a pinned post at all. Even pinned as an announcement, it does not alert members in perpetuity (which can ideally be edited if necessary, or alternatively a new post pinned). There needs to be a way of sticking a post or a highly visible drop-down section right at the top of the channel where a fixed welcome note with instructions and links can be accessed.
