One way to address this is the way Slack addresses this: Slack shows different Workspaces (or Tenants from the O365 perspective) on the left side of the window. Users can easily click on any of these other account connections and immediately see their content without any delays with needing to switch tenants (we currently experience delays in Teams when doing this). It also allows maintaining your presence as available in multiple tenants.

While opening the other tenant in another browser is technically an option, it is not seamless, and if the browser happens to be closed, user's can miss messages and would need to wait for the missing activity notifications.

This is often a problem in the EDU sector where the campus Health/Medical center is on a separate tenant from the general campus tenant. Communicating between the two tenants requires needing to switch from Tenant1 to Tenant2 to communicate, but that makes it difficult to continue to communicate with people on Tenant1 until you switch back, and urgent messages can be missed.
