    Here's my 2 cents of additional points:
    - If your status is Available (or some other new state), then on your primary client (e.g. Desktop, phone, whatever is being used at the moment), another user can talk to you without needing to push the call button (since that whole handshaking process is the psychological burden)
    - If your status is DND or Away, this would be disabled

    There would be some fine details to be ironed out about how to dismiss someone who called you and you didn't pickup. Similarly for AFK moments, although it's considered proper form for people to lock their computers in that case.

    It's very common in most messaging units. Right now \ is disabled, so it's not like you're losing namespace. Please add.
